A. Lange & Söhne Glashütte B/Dresden Caliber 43 quality 1A in 18k pink gold execution with original certificate of Glashütter watch Museum year of sale: 1889 sold to company Dürrstein & Co, Dresden This pocket watch is a unique and rare timepiece from the history of Glashütte watches production. It is an antimagnetic hunter case pocket watch with the high-quality movement, manufactured in the highest quality grade and the finest finishing with traditional Glashütte 3/4 plate execution. The antimagnetic Lange & Söhne pocket watches were manufactured only in a very clear, lower number and are only rarely offered on the watch market. The development of antimagnetic watches served to protect the mechanical movements from magnetic influences. The movement of this pocket watch is equipped with a Palladium balance spring and a screw compensation balance according to Paillard, the plate of the movement bears the engraving "Paillards Patent Bal". This palladium alloy was particularly resistant to magnetic influences. This hunter case pocket watch was made in a 18k gold execution and has a solid total weight of approximately 109 grams. The solid gold case has a form of "Lucia", the diameter of the case is 52mm. The twopart enamel dial has large radial Arabic numerals in attractive combination with red Arabic minutes. The high quality movement in 1A quality with beautiful Glashütte quality features is protected behind an 18k gold case. This hunter case pocket watch is one of the few exemplars that were made with antimagnetic movement. It belongs to the high-quality watch production of the Lange & Sohne manufacture. Die Entwicklung antimagnetischer Uhren diente dem Schutz mechanischer Werke vor magnetischen Einflüssen.
