The theme of Fusion, which is the guiding principle of the Big Bang collection, is the very essence of this superb chronograph dedicated to lovers. Its unique design combines elegance and audacity, blending ceramic and diamonds, trendiness and rarity, with rubber and steel. The materials and colors deliciously melt and intermix. These unexpected combination's confirm the integrity of the choices made by Hublot, which makes each new model an object of desire, coveted and long-awaited.

The Hublot Big Bang was a smash hit the day it arrived at Hublot dealers. The watch offers a lot for its price, and arguably started the modern trend towards larger ladies' watches being all the rage.

The watch case on this outstanding chronograph is stainless steel. The bezel is black ceramic. The case sides are a PVD treated synthetic. Hublot's unique ceramic and "synthetic resin" are used in the case in addition to the steel. The case has crisp edges, and the steel alternates brushed and polished surfaces. The crown and chrono pushers have black synthetic inserts. Case measures 41mm in diameter. Sapphire front and display back crystals. The heads of the screws used to secure the bezel are "H" shaped. Water resistant to 100 meters.

Dial is black carbon-fiber with applied Arabic numerals and hour markers, luminous and skeletonized hands and a date display at 4 o'clock. The dial has a 30 minute and 12 hour chronograph totalizer.

Movement is designed by La Joux Perret and manufactured by ETA. Automatic winding with a black skeletonized tungsten rotor. The movement also features 27 jewels and a 42 hour power reserve. In my opinion, this is a manufacture caliber, since Hublot is the only firm that can use this state of the art movement.
Strap is black rubber and very supple.
