Rado Centrix

Anyone looking for a modern dress watch should take a closer look at the Centrix collection from the Swiss watch manufacturer Rado. It is one of their most comprehensive collections and features skeleton watches, chronographs, GMT models, watches with day and date displays, and numerous dial designs both with and without diamonds. What's more, these watches come in a variety of color combinations. These men's and women's watches are also available with either a quartz or automatic movement.

Despite their diversity, there is still an unmistakable similarity among the Centrix watches. Their cases are made of stainless steel, and their tapered bracelets come in stainless steel or in the typical Rado high-tech ceramic. The color palettes range from black and white to various silver, gray, and brown hues. Color-coordinated gold plating on the stainless steel elements gives these watches a particularly elegant feel. Each watch also features sapphire glass that sits directly on the case and goes all the way up to its edge. These watches are also available with quartz calibers. A never-worn women's watch starts at around 690 euros. If you prefer the version with diamonds on the dial, the price increases to 840 euros. Be prepared to spend about 1,200 euros if you would like diamonds on the bezel as well. New men's watches go for as little as 675 euros, while the Centrix Diamonds begins at around 850 euros.

Watches with skeletonized dials will always attract attention. The Centrix Automatic Open Heart is no different. Rado has successfully developed a skeletonized dial that reflects its watch's modern spirit while maintaining high readability. Once again, there are numerous color options for both men and women. With a leather strap, a new men's Centrix Automatic Open Heart costs 1,375 euros. If you prefer stainless steel or ceramic bracelets, expect prices just under 1,500 euros. The women's model of this skeleton watch sits at 1,470 euros. The diamond-studded Open Heart Diamonds version costs around 2,000 euros.

The Centrix Automatic Day Date and Centrix Automatic UTC only use automatic mechanical movements. Both models are available in the same color combinations as their sister models; however, they are only either 38 mm (Day Date) or 40 mm (UTC) in diameter. A special feature of the Centrix Automatic Day Date is its day display at 12 o'clock, which features the day written out in full and resembles the Rolex Day-Date. It also has a date display at 6 o'clock. Prices for a new Centrix Automatic Day Date are slightly under 1,400 euros.

The Centrix Automatic UTC, on the other hand, is outfitted with a display for a second time zone. Rado accomplishes this using an additional central hand, which displays the time in a second time zone using a 24-hour scale. You can purchase one of these watches for 1,550 euros.

The quartz-powered Centrix Chronograph rounds off the collection. Its date display has risen up to 4 o'clock to make room for the subdials. There is a small seconds dial at 6 o'clock, a 10-hour counter at 2 o'clock, and a 30-minute counter at 10 o'clock. As always, these chronographs also come in a variety of color combinations.
