Rolex Datejust 41 126334

For over 70 years, the Datejust has been one of Genevan luxury watch manufacturer Rolex's most successful models. The Datejust 41 ref. 126334 succeeded the Datejust II in 2016. The watch is available in stainless steel or white gold and comes with a wide selection of dials, ranging from sunburst dials with bar indices or Roman numerals to intricate mother-of-pearl dials set with diamonds.

Dials come in silver, black, white, gray, blue, or green, depending on the edition. And as of 2022, patterned dials are also available that mimic the fluted design of the bezel.

Rolex made the lugs and bezel on the Datejust 41 a bit narrower than those of the Datejust II, which lends the timepiece a more elegant overall look. The Datejust 41 ref. 126334 also comes on your choice of a Jubilee or an Oyster bracelet.

All versions measure 41 mm in diameter and feature a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a date magnifier as well as a fluted bezel. The Datejust 41 ref. 126334 is powered by the in-house Rolex caliber 3235 and is water-resistant to 100 m (10 bar, 328 ft), thanks to the watch's Twinlock crown.

Rolex introduced the caliber 3235 in 2016, together with the Datejust 41. The chronometer-certified in-house caliber also ticks in other watches in the Rolex catalog, including the Sea-Dweller, Yacht-Master, and Deepsea.

Special features of the 3235 include the Rolex-patented Parachrom hairspring, made of a niobium-zirconium alloy, and a Chronergy escapement, also developed by Rolex. While the hairspring is particularly robust and largely unaffected by strong magnetic fields, temperature fluctuations, or shocks, the escapement ensures increased efficiency, which contributes to the improved power reserve of up to 70 hours. As with its predecessor, the balance frequency is 28,800 vibrations per hour.

Various Rolex Datejust 126334 editions have performed well financially. The price for an unworn model on Chrono24 is well above Rolex's MSRP. A Datejust 126334 in white gold and in mint condition, for example, with a blue sunburst dial and bar indices, changed hands for approximately 14,600 USD in December 2022. That's roughly a third above the watch's MSRP.

An unworn Datejust 41 with a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond indices demands an investment of around 17,000 USD on Chrono24, approximately 25% above its official MSRP. You'll see similar prices for many other Datejust 126334 variants.
