When Swiss watch manufacturer Swatch unveiled the MoonSwatch collection in 2022, the line took the international watch scene by storm. At the time, the company was barely able to keep up with the demand, and prices shot up to scurrilous heights on the secondary market. The storm passed shortly afterward, however, and prices returned to realistic levels.
Swatch launched the first 11 models in the MoonSwatch collection as an homage to the legendary Omega Speedmaster Professional. Each watch is dedicated to a celestial body in our solar system. Ref. SO33C100 is the model devoted to the planet Jupiter. And like Jupiter, the case and dial of the MoonSwatch "Mission to Jupiter" come in a delicate shade of beige.
The case is made from Swatch's own material blend of ceramic and rapseed oil-based plastic known as bioceramic. The orange of the hands on the subdials and the stop-seconds hand stands out against the beige of the dial, a nod to the color scheme of the iconic Omega Speedmaster Ultraman from the 1960s.
As a unique novelty, the "Dot over 90" can be seen on the tachymeter scale on all 11 variants. All MoonSwatch models including the Mission to Jupiter are water-resistant up to 30 m (3 bar, 98 ft).

Like the other models in the collection, the MoonSwatch Mission to Jupiter ref. SO33C100 has a diameter of 42 mm. The case has an asymmetrical design with curved lugs. The watch is 13.25 mm thick and the lug-to-lug distance is 47.3 mm. The strap lug width of 20 mm is moderate for the case size and allows for a variety of strap options.
The bioceramic watch has a monobloc case, meaning it's made from a single casting. The battery compartment on the back features an image of Jupiter.
The Mission to Jupiter comes on a black synthetic Velcro strap.
The Dial of the MoonSwatch Mission to Jupiter
Swatch chose a stepped dial for the MoonSwatch collection. This dial design is characterized by a recessed minute track and subdials and was already a style-defining feature of early versions of the Omega Speedmaster Professional. The subdials are located at 2, 6, and 10 o'clock. Due to the caliber powering the MoonSwatch, the arrangement differs here from that of the Omega Speedmaster Professional, where the subdials are located at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock.
The beige color of the Mission to Jupiter dial matches the color of the case, helping to highlight the orange hands on the subdials and orange stop seconds hand. White Super-LumiNova indices mark the hours.
